Local government | Unethical leadership in municipalities

BOKSBURG – Corporative Governance Minister Thembi Nkadimeng has lamented the failure of municipalities to provide basic services.
She was speaking at the Summit on Ethical Leadership in Local Government in Boksburg on Friday.
The Minister for CoGTA, Thembi Nkadimeng, told the audience that when municipalities fail to provide services such as water, it hits the poor even more.
The Special Investigating Unit says along with the Police’s Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation and other agencies, they’re probing corruption quantified at about R66-billion in municipalities.
